  • Karl Stuckenberg: Pastor

    Email Pastor Karl Here

Karl Stuckenberg has been a United Methodist pastor for over 25 years. Ordained in 1996 after graduating from the Claremont School of Theology, he has served churches in Long Beach, Fullerton, Corona Del Mar, and was the Lead Pastor of a multi-site church in Mission Viejo and Rancho Santa Margarita.

Ministry is one of the rare vocations where you get the chance to do so many different things. He loves to teach others about the amazing love of God through preaching, storytelling and bringing the Bible to life. He believes we learn best about God in community and for that reason, he's passionate about church camps, mission trips, Bible studies, and anything else that brings people together. Over the last 10 years, he's lead several pilgrimages to the Holy Lands where people have the chance to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and experience the Bible through a brand new lens. And his love of music and the arts brings a creative edge to all aspects of ministry.

Most importantly, he's a husband to Kristen and dad to Kayla and Kendal. When he's not at church, he loves spending time with them. And when they are all busy, he loves to play the drums which he's been doing for over 40 years (just ask the neighbors).

  • Maelynn Schlipp, Tyke Time Director

    Email Maelynn HERE

Maelynn began her college career at the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY. She later transferred and graduated from Western Michigan University finishing her degree with a Bachelors in Marketing on a Division I full-ride tennis scholarship. She has held various national roles in the non-profit sector. Becoming a mom changed her life in a very intense way. She soon learned it was much more than what people described to her. Children are such a gift and give so much hope to life that even on her hardest day, she has a great sense of peace. Maelynn has coached tennis to pre-schoolers, volunteered in schools, offered meals and helping hands to moms in need over the years, and always will lend an ear to whatever crazy story parenthood has presented her friends and family. She understands the need for parent support and focus on a child's development during the first five years and is excited to start "Tyke Time", the first child-led play space in San Clemente.
